When you drink or do drugs have you ever:

  • Had an accident or injury, or gotten in a fight?
  • Been taken to the hospital for drinking/using too much?
  • Forgotten what happened or what you did?
  • Hidden your use from others?
  • Felt it affected your social life, family life, or friendships?
  • Missed class or lost study time the day after?
  • Been concerned about how others think about you?
  • Regretted something you've done or said?

Do You:

  • Drink or use before going out, most of the time?
  • Drink or use when you have problems or worries?
  • Keep using until the alcohol or drugs are gone?
  • Hang out with friends where it's easy to get the alcohol/drugs you like?
  • Get upset is somebody says maybe you drink or use too much?
  • Find you've lost friends because of your use?

If you answered "yes," then your use may be giving you problems. Consider looking at this. There are resources that can help.
